Builders Said This Site Was Impossible

This is my kind of project in my kind of place. Desolation Sound in BC is anything but desolate. So named by Captain George Vancouver in 1792 on account of the gloomy appearance of the surrounding country. It must have been an off day for the captain.

Westcoast Outbuildings was able to make this challenging cabin build happen when several other builders said no. This site was so challenging that only their “hi-mobility trailer” was able to negotiate the steep tight double track up to the build site.

Oh and the cabin had to be barged in from Vancouver. The 690 square foot cabin was dwarfed by the huge barge that was the size of 2 football fields.

The owner got the modern cabin he wanted on this very challenging site, built in onlyi 7 days. That includes setting up the solar power system, the rainwater collection system and the septic sewer system on this remote site.

Very impressive!
