Very Special Log Cabin Tree House in Colorado

This one of the best looking tree houses I’ve seen in a while. The construction and setting among Colorado’s high altitude Aspen trees is really what makes it extra special. The architect Missy Brown, searched each on of the clients 250 acres near Vail, Colorado to find the perfect location. She also had a goal of making use of all the pine trees killed by beetles, that have wreaked havoc on forests all over the Rockies. They milled standing dead lodge pole pine trees on the property, to build this gorgeous square-cut log cabin tree house, to the clients delight.

The warm interior is made of the same logs on the exterior, making this tree house solid as a rock. It features a small writing desk, pull out love seat and a small Coleman stove. The propane burner is perfect for making a cup of tea or coffee. The tree house is not totally roughing it though. It does have baseboard heat to make it comfy all night long for the owners.

Where better to enjoy your tea than this amazing tree house deck. I can picture myself sitting back and watching the seasons change.
