Off Grid Cabin Living on Lasqueti Island

Living Off Grid on lasqueti Island

Watch the below video about living on Lasqueti Island in BC. It’s an hour boat ride from Vancouver Island.

Lasqueti is an island so close yet so remote, there is no electricity, no paved roads and mostly no plumbing. This Canadian island in the province of British Columbia is home to 400ish people and less than an hour away from Vancouver. It’s populated by people who want to want to get away from the city and don’t mind working harder for less comforts. It’s not cheaper to live here but for the people who stay, it’s worth it to have more freedoms and a slower lifestyle. I featured another cabin on nearby Gambier Island a few years ago.
