93 Year Old Man Lives in Wilderness Cabin
93-year-old man called Jack English has been coming to California’s Ventana Wilderness for 82 years. Nearly four decades ago, when an old homestead parcel went up for auction, he bought it and built a small off grid cabin on the site. Many years later, shortly before she passed away, his wife told him he should live there full time. Now he does, living alone, off the grid, and making hand made beautiful violin bows. A wonderful short profile of man who’s found contentment in a place that doesn’t seem to change. – Adventure Journal |

I grew up going to visit the English’s at there homestead in santa cruz. I have great memories at his cabin as well. Its a 6 mile, hard hike into his cabin and he does it by foot. HE IS THE MAN. My hat goes off to you Jack. You have inspired me more then you will ever know.
Can someone tell me why, with all “man’s” supposed intelligence we all can’t find the peace and tranquility in life this man has found?
I can only wish I can live in my cabin that long. I love every day I can stay there. – Margy
Nice video, thanks for posting that.
Its pretty inspiring he built the cabin and from locally milled trees, aged at least 53.
He said he lives 5 miles from the nearest road.
I assume he uses some form of off road vehicle, but none was shown ?
